Contracts
Upload your own agreement, email it for signature, and get a signed PDF back with a signature certificate attached.
How to send a contract for signature
A contract belongs to a project, and you manage it from that project's page. You upload your own PDF, so the wording is always yours; the app adds the dates, emails the client a private signing link and tracks what happens next.

Open the project from Project Tools → Projects, or from the client's page.
Open Step 3: Send Contract and click Upload contract (PDF). The file has to be a PDF, up to 20MB.
Check the file name in the row that appears. Click Replace PDF if you picked the wrong one, or Remove to start again.
Click Send to client.
Set the Contract start date and Contract end date. These print on a Contract Details cover page at the front of the PDF the client reads.
Add anyone else who should get the link under Also send to, separated by commas.
Click Send contract. The status becomes Sent, and the client gets an email with a Review and sign button.
Tip: The contract is optional. If a project has no contract row at all, Start Project still works — but once you upload one, it has to be signed (or marked not required) before the project can go live.
How your client signs the contract
The emailed link opens a page with the PDF on the left and the signing form on the right. There is no login and nothing to install, so it works on a phone.

Your client opens the Review and sign button in their email, or the link you copied to them.
They read the contract in the reader, or open the PDF in a new tab.
They fill in their full name, an optional company or title, and their address.
They either Draw a signature with the mouse or finger, or pick Type to sign with their typed name.
They click Review and sign, check the confirmation, then click Sign contract.
The date is stamped automatically, and the page turns into their signed copy.
Tip: Opening the link is recorded, so you can see whether they have read it before you chase.
How to see where a contract has got to
The contract step tells you the whole story: when it went, whether the client opened it, who signed and when. The signed PDF is the original document plus a signature certificate page.

Open the project and look at Step 3: Send Contract.
Read the lines under the file: the dates it runs, when it was sent, whether the client has opened it, and who signed it.
Click Activity to open the full trail — uploaded, sent, opened, signed, each with a time.
Click the PDF row to open the document. Once it is signed, that row gives you the signed copy.
The signature certificate at the end of the signed PDF holds the signer's details, the timestamp and the IP address.
Tip: Signing also emails you, so you don't have to keep checking.
How to resend, replace or unsend a contract
Everything about a sent contract can still be changed, right up until the client signs. The client's link never changes, so you never have to send a new one.

Open the project and open Step 3: Send Contract.
Click Resend to email the link again — useful after you have fixed the dates or the file. The original sent date is kept.
Click Copy link if you would rather paste the link into your own email or a message.
Click Replace PDF to swap the document. The client's link stays the same and they see the new file.
Click Reset to draft to pull it back. The link stops working until you send it again.
Tip: A signed contract can't be replaced or reset — that is the point of it. Upload a new contract on a new project if the agreement really has to change.
How to mark a contract as not required
Some jobs don't need a contract, or you signed one on paper. Marking it not required lets the project go live without one and leaves a note saying so.

Open the project and open Step 3: Send Contract.
Click Not required.
The step shows "Marked as not required" and Step 4: Start Project unlocks.
Click Undo if you change your mind — the step goes back to how it was.
How to find a contract across all your projects
The Contracts page lists every project's contract, most recently touched first, so you can see at a glance what is out for signature and what has come back.

Open Project Tools → Contracts from the sidebar.
Read each row: the project, the client, the file name, and a line on where it has got to.
Use the filter to show only Draft, Sent, Signed or Not required.
Click a row to open its project, where the contract is uploaded, sent and downloaded.
